Informed professionals will guide you through homes under construction, explaining the key elements of ANSI-approved, National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Green Building Standards and the application of green construction practices. Other tour stops will focus on green issues associated with land development and global impact.
The Work Boots Tour is a precursor to Green Homes on Parade coming September 18-27, 2009, which will be the first single-site NAHB green-certified home parade in the nation. It is located in The Village in Burns Harbor, the first development in the United States to receive a certification under the NAHB National Green Building Standard.
